Read this book. 'All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten” Uncommon Thoughts on Common Things By this fella called Robert Fulghum.
Really neat book, its just a collection of "stuff" from his life, which comprises of experiences, incidents, people he has met; who have left some kind of an impression on his mind. Like he says in the prologue, read the book when you can, with no intention of reaching the end in one go, coz there is no climactic ending in store.
But, it makes you want to read it from page to page, without putting it down. There's this story on Donnie, a kid who comes to his house one day to rake the leaves. Now, Robert and wife have a pact, that half the yard will stay as is, with leaves and all, and the other half will remain spotless, clean. No prizes for guessing who hates to rake leaves; well it is Robert.
But, Donnie takes so much pride in his work, and comes bak the next morning to complete it, coz it got dark that Robert just cannot undo all the work lovingly done. He decides to let go of his preferences in favor of a job well-done.
