The BOGOF concept [ BUg Off ]

Caught this ad of 'Amity Business School' on TV...Advtg themselves like some product ... and then yu have IIPM with ONE BIG COMPLEX where the IIMs are concerned...
Why else would they advertise themselves as 'Much more than the IIMS' !!!

All this prompted me to wonder of some possible, forthcoming advtg. initiatives by B-schools...

Ticket to ride !!!

Had forgotten what an experience a ride in a rick in B'bay can be ...

The rickshaw-wallah for some unknown reason preferred to test both his and my faith in God, for which purpose he drove more on the pavements than on the road, umpteen attempts to overtake BEST buses,,, Jeezz Why God Why !!! :-)

He didn't know the exact way to my workplace; I did tell him that I would show him the way; I guess with all the incessant honking around and his deck playing 'Sharmaana chhod daal; baat dil ka bol dal', he didn't get what I said... here I was , one moment staring straight ahead, when he chose to do a complete about-turn, the in-your-face-kinds, with 1 quick question ' Kya Madam'... Phew, my heart was in my mouth, all around were vehicles of every imaginable shape, size ... and here he chooses to drive backwards... Hummingbirds any1? :-)

Friendly chap, he went on to ask me if I was an actress !!! :-). tat coz my current work place happens to be close to a studio... also tat he was offered the role of a 'Havaldar' in some serial; but tat he got bored after some 2-3 scenes tat he shot...
He had the most genuine smile on his face when recounting his 15-minutes of fame :-)

And, of course when the destination was reached, me and he, both realized tat the meter was not working... so the usual 'Aap utna do jitna barabar lage'... :-)...

Viva la auto !!!

Caught 'Mr. and Mrs. Iyer' this week, great movie, very well-made...
Didn't know anything about the story before watching it, all I had heard was that it is ONE GOOD MOVIE...was a little surprised, but the treatment given to the story line is just fanatstic...

Bose is GREAT as usual, gimme tat guy :-) Konkoka Sensharma is just amazing, playing the part of a Tam Bram girl with such conviction...its hard to believe tat she is Bong...

Aparna Sen has done it again, she has brought out the best in the actors...

I just can't get you out of my head...been playing in my head all day long...
Its so rainy-season-ish...Pakodas....pls...
